This is the second year in a row that LABUR has been named to the Boston’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For® list.
“This year has been exceptionally trying – for all businesses – but it has only highlighted the amazing team we have here at LABUR. A lot has changed, but what goes into being a great company to work for has not. People and relationships are still number one, and we have given primacy to both regardless of market conditions and will continue to do so. I am honored to be in business with everyone who works with, for and who partner with LABUR. We are truly fortunate,” said Darrin Lang, CEO and Co-Founder, LABUR.
An independent research firm evaluates each company’s entry based on key measures in various categories, including diversity and inclusion, work-life balance, community initiatives, strategic company performance, employee education, and benefits and compensation.
“Through the first half of 2020, the Best and Brightest Companies To Work For® have demonstrated leadership and forward thinking as they pivoted their business and workforce through COVID-19. As the conversation and focus have shifted, our Best and Brightest winning companies have also been a voice for important actions regarding race relations. In these unique times, the Best and Brightest Companies To Work For® excel and share their knowledge with others,” said Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs.
Due to COVID-19, companies were honored digitally this year. The annual symposium and awards program was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. The complete list of 2020 winners of Boston’s Best and Brightest Companies To Work For® can be viewed here.

APR. 20, 2020 – BOSTON – The Boston Business Journal has named LABUR, a holistic workforce solution provider that specializes in digital transformation through advisory services, niche staff augmentation and executive search, to its exclusive 2020 Fast 50 list, which represents the 50 fastest-growing private companies in Massachusetts.
“At a time when positive business news is hard to come by, the privately held companies included among this year's Fast 50 have something to celebrate indeed,” said Carolyn M. Jones, market president and publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “The COVID-19 crisis has changed the way we work and live; and like many others, we have reimagined our event and content to ensure the health and safety of all. Our celebration, originally scheduled to be held on May 20, is now expected to be held in November.”
A Fast 50 special section in the BBJ will run in the May 22 print edition and online. A second publication, complete with rankings by revenue, will be published in conjunction with the Fast 50 event at the Aloft Hotel Seaport in South Boston, where the BBJ plans to announce the actual rankings.
Companies on the Fast 50 must have their headquarters in Massachusetts and have reported revenue growth from 2018 to 2019, with minimum sales totaling $1 million for 2019, to be included. The numbers were compiled and analyzed by the Business Journal’s research department and by the media company’s Fast 50 partner, Withum.
“This recognition is a testament to the entire LABUR team and network. We are a resilient, specialized group of individuals all committed to quality and service – no matter the market conditions,” said Darrin Lang, CEO of LABUR. “As a company, we got our start in the 2007-2008 recession, so we are no stranger to adversity and hard work. I have faith that, like the rest of the Boston business community, we will be stronger because of our experiences and the challenges we are facing today.”

MAR. 23, 2020 – BOSTON – Staffing Industry Analysts, the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, announced LABUR as a 2020 Best Staffing Firm to Temp For winner.
The award, which is given annually by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), recognizes employers for their top performance in the support and opportunity they provide to their consultants.
“With their strong commitment to employee engagement and building a high-performance culture, the companies on this year’s Best Staffing Firms list are setting the bar high. From newer and niche players to veteran businesses, from traditional offerings to innovation in action, from local organizations to entities with global reach, these firms are demonstrating that a highly engaged workforce is one of the few sustainable sources of competitive advantage in staffing,” said Barry Asin, SIA President. “Congratulations to the winners for this important recognition.”
This is the third year in a row LABUR has been named a Best Staffing Firm to Temp For winner.
“The relationships we have with our internal staff, consultants and clients are at the heart of everything we do. To us, there is no greater award than one that acknowledges those relationships,” said Darrin Lang, CEO and co-founder of LABUR. “The expertise, emotional intelligence and passion our consultants bring to their work is what makes what we do possible. We will continue to work hard to engage, retain and to delight them as one of our key audiences and stakeholders.”
Over 250 firms sought participation in the program this year, which was conducted by SIA in conjunction with Quantum Workplace.
In order to gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of consultant participation, based on their total number of those who temp for the organization. Companies were ranked in size categories according to their overall score. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.
