NEW YORK, August 15, 2023 – Inc. revealed today that LABUR ranks No. 4506 on the 2023 Inc. 5000, its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other household name brands gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
"We are thrilled to be named to the Inc. 5000 list for the 5th year in a row,” says LABUR CEO and co-founder, Darrin Lang. “This year is particularly special as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of founding LABUR. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our clients, consultants, employees, family, and friends for the tremendous growth we’ve achieved over the years.”
The Inc. 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges. Among this year’s top 500 companies, the average median three-year revenue growth rate ticked up to an astonishing 2,238 percent. In all, this year’s Inc. 5000 companies have added 1,187,266 jobs to the economy over the past three years.
For complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, location, and other criteria, go to www.inc.com/inc5000. The top 500 companies are featured in the September issue of Inc. magazine, available on newsstands beginning Tuesday, August 23.
“Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that requires—is truly an accomplishment. Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that are building our future.”
“I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished so far and making the Inc. 5000 for 5 years in a row is a testament to our unwavering commitment to serve our clients and consultants,” comments LABUR co-founder and CSO Seth Burr. “We have a great team in place, and we will continue to grow, evolve, and adapt to the ever-changing market landscape.”

July 12, 2022 – BOSTON – LABUR, a holistic workforce solutions provider specializing in digital transformation through advisory services, project consulting and executive search, has been recognized as a 2022 Best and Brightest in Wellness® winner by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). This program honors companies that promote employee well-being, worksite health and wellness, and this is the second time LABUR has been recognized after first making the list in 2021.
“We are incredibly proud to be recognized on this national list once again. It has been particularly exciting to see such an increase in team participation in our internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Council and in related initiatives like our recent walk and fundraiser benefiting the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI),” said LABUR Managing Director and Wellness Coordinator, Nick Regan. “I recently shared a walk with a member of my team who shared that they are ‘so happy that [they've] found a place where they can be [their] true self.’ That feedback is a direct result of the commitment shown by every member of the LABUR team to create an environment focused on mental health and wellness.”
The Best and Brightest in Wellness® program celebrates those companies that are making their businesses flourish, the lives of their employees better and the community a healthier place to live. This summer’s winners’ list is honoring 31 organizations from across the country, including LABUR.
“The Best and Brightest is a powerful community of elite leaders who share ideas, practices, and have proven they are employers of choice when it comes to wellness and wellbeing. Best and Brightest winning companies are a community of leaders dedicated to creating a sustainable culture that works and ensuring the wellbeing of their employees come first,” said Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO, Best and Brightest Programs.
Winning companies were evaluated by an assessment created and administered by leading wellness systems firm. Company entries are examined statistically for quantitative and qualitative data. Each survey was scored on a point system based upon criteria to benchmark and improve wellness program effectiveness. They include outcomes, analysis, tracking, participation & incentives, benefits and programs, leadership, employee input, culture and environment.

MAR 8, 2022 – BOSTON – LABUR, a holistic workforce solutions provider specializing in digital transformation through advisory services, project consulting and executive search, today announced it has been named as a 2022 Best Staffing Firm to Work For winner and the grand prize winner of the Best Staffing Firm to Temp/Contract For award. The Best Staffing Company awards are given annually by Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, and recognize employers for their top performance in engaging their contractor workforce, their employees and for creating a workplace conducive to talent development, enjoyment, collaboration and productivity.
The winners, announced this week during the annual Executive Forum North America, represent companies that had the highest scores of the Best Staffing Firm award categories. The categories comprise North American firms with 10 to 20 internal employees, firms with 21 to 50 internal employees, firms with 51 to 200 employees, firms with 201-500 employees, and firms with over 501 employees; as well as Best Staffing Firm to Temp/Contract for.
LABUR has made the Best Staffing Firm list every year since 2018 and is now a two-time grand prize winner of the North American Best Staffing Firm to Temp For award after first achieving that distinction in 2019.
“When we founded the firm with the intent to put people first, we faced a fair amount of skepticism from industry leaders who had only been exposed to quantitative strategies, and our strategy was clearly qualitative,” said Darrin Lang, CEO and Co-Founder of LABUR. “Years later, and with an unwavering commitment to our strategy and model, we are surrounded by a large group of talented professionals who share our core values. It is this talented and like-minded group of professionals who have helped put LABUR on the map. To these women and men, I am forever grateful, and this award is unequivocally about them.”
Last year, LABUR saw significant growth with the hiring of a number of team members to support the recently expanded advisory services practice – including senior IT consulting executive and LABUR Practice Lead Matthew Leathers – and a new class of sourcing and recruiting associates. Between 2021 and 2022, LABUR increased their total internal headcount by over 50 percent.
“Congratulations to all of the Best Staffing Firm winners for an excellent job in a challenging environment,” said Barry Asin, SIA President. “As we have seen time and again, building a high-performing culture is critical to the long-term success of staffing firms. These firms have demonstrated the ability to develop and maintain a strong and positive culture where employees can do their best work.”
Close to 300 firms sought participation in the program this year, which was conducted by SIA in conjunction with Quantum Workplace, an Omaha, NE-based company. Internal employees at each firm were asked to complete an online survey that measured key engagement categories, focusing on items including teamwork, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, manager effectiveness, compensation and benefits. In order to gather statistically sound results, participating companies must have reached a minimum level of participation. Companies were ranked in each size category according to their overall score. Winners were chosen based entirely on the survey results.
