Our client had a high-priority need to complete essential data work, but didn't have the internal bandwidth to do so.
Business Challenge
This client had a significant amount of demands and requests for technical data work to be accomplished in support of their business. While this work was considered mission-critical and a top initiative for the second half of 2021 and into 2022, our client didn’t have the internal bandwidth to complete the work themselves.
Project Overview
Our Strategic Resourcing practice was brought in to assemble an external Scrum Team to fulfill these requests and demands from the business side. Our goal was to design a nimble team that could still integrate seamlessly into the client’s organization.
LABUR assembled a cohesive, high performing Scrum Team comprised of consultants who had never worked together prior to this engagement. The finalized team included four seasoned resources with deep industry experience: Business Analytics, Quality Assurance, and Database Development all working together under the supervision of a Scrum Master.
Results
The team continues to deliver on this data work in support of the firm and has received consistently positive feedback from both technical and business stakeholders. What was originally a 6-month contract continues to be extended for two years and counting. Additionally, LABUR's original Scrum Team is the only one to remain intact while all others have been reassigned and our Scrum Master now has expanded responsibility overseeing a second team.
